Publisher and scope

CompressAny is operated by DTech in Vietnam. The website and app are offered to users in Vietnam and internationally. This notice describes the current version and will be updated if our data practices change.

Files processed on your device

When you select a video, ZIP archive, or document, your browser reads and processes it on your device to create the output you request. CompressAny does not upload the contents of selected files to its application server. Processing may use the file name, type, size, video duration and tracks, and archive entry list. Temporary file data is held in browser memory as needed. If an output must wait for sign-in before download, the browser may keep it in device-local private storage and automatically remove it after 24 hours. You choose where to save the output.

Settings stored in your browser

Your theme preference and saved compression presets are stored in this browser's local storage on this device. They are not synced to a CompressAny account or server. You can remove them by clearing this website's browser data. The service worker stores app resources on your device for reuse; it does not store the files you select.

Hosting and connection information

The website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. The infrastructure provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser/device details, and routing data, to deliver, protect, and operate the service under its own privacy policy. CompressAny currently has no integrated behavioral analytics, advertising, or user tracking code. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Accounts and sign-in

You can register with an email address and password, after verifying the email, or sign in with Google. Google-provided Firebase Authentication processes sign-in credentials, email addresses, and account identifiers. For quota requests, the app sends a sign-in token for server verification; the server stores only the Firebase account ID, date, and usage count, not your email or password. Firebase SDK stores the sign-in session in this browser to keep you signed in until you sign out or clear browser data. See the Firebase Privacy Policy.

Usage limits and guest cookie

To enforce the three-use guest limit and ten downloads/saves per day for accounts, CompressAny stores a Firebase account identifier, usage date, count, and download authorization status in Cloudflare D1. For guests, the website sets a first-party cookie containing a random identifier; the server stores only a hash of the cookie and the usage count, not file names or contents. The guest cookie lasts up to one year; clearing it or website data creates a new guest allowance for that browser. Account counters reset at 00:00 Vietnam time (UTC+7). A guest's fourth output is still created, but signing in and having daily uses available is required to download or save it.

Completed usage records are kept for up to 90 days to operate the quota; pending reservations expire after six hours. Guest quota records remain until the cookie expires, up to one year. You can request deletion of your account and related data by emailing support.

Sharing, support, and payments

CompressAny does not sell or share the contents of files you process. Files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to the application server. The current app has no advertising, behavioral analytics, or in-app payments. If you email support, the publisher uses your address and message to respond; email providers may process the message under their own privacy and retention policies.
